Miktek – Elsewhere

I know, another Ultimae album that’s described as “cinematic” seems a little trite, doesn’t it. So let’s focus on something else. We were really drawn to this album because of the intricate work on the drums. Never at any point is the rhythm section predictable. The bass slinks along with the drums which take their own twists and turns song after song. The album has wonderful piano performances throughout. Overall, a wonderful downbeat, spaced out and, yes, cinematic LP that must be listened to from start to finish.
