firephly – Transitions

When we started broadcasting back in 2001, we played mostly music from unknown and upstart musicians. Returning to that tradition, we’re very pleased to introduce the debut release from a home-studio producer named firephly. We’re told Transitions was crafted over the course of five years between working and raising a family (we can relate). Transitions is reminiscent of 2000’s-era ambient IDM with its intricate layering of melody, pads, and tight clicky rhythms. Our favorite jams on the album are Melancholy and You and Me.
